I'm a barista. I know, it sounds like part of a staircase. But there's no getting around it. Just please don't try to slide down me. That would make me feel really bad. I'm trying to endearingly blog about the awesome co-workers and the awesome company I'm working for, but none of it is going to be coherent. You see, it's about 6:45pm right now, and I've been up for more than 24 hours so far. I went to work this afternoon and downed a Red Bull on the way, and three Teardrops (basically equalling six shots of espresso) throughout the shift. It's like the great caffeine abyss. In me. Me, the one who is normally sensitive to caffeine and whose body acts naturally as though it is administered the drug intravenously, wiping out the need for it externally. Not today--no, this girl processed it like a carbohydrate.
