I love lolcats. I really, really do. If you'll notice, I have in past posts a few references to the website, or I've imported a picture. No, this isn't a shameless plug, although I'm sure the owner of the site might appreciate the extra 2 hits he or she will get to http://www.icanhascheezburger.com from the legions of readers my blog draws in. But yeah, I really do love navigating to the website after three or four days of being offline. It's that same feeling you get when you type a four-page paper entirely in single spacing, and instantly double the volume at the click of the double-space option. You can't quite put it into words.
Same with the lolcats website. There might be up to five new featured pictures per day, each one better than the last. It convinces me that there is, indeed, some good in the world after going through them.
There's one curious fact about them: it is impossible to describe the picture to another living soul. They have to see it for themselves. It's like you have to look through the words as though they were windows to their ingrained meaning (in our heads, at least) and put it together with the cat's expression, action, or circumstance. I tried describing one once.
My brain dissolved.
what she used to be.
